Classic Gdańsk

Visiting Gdansk by Royal Route, is like a walk through the huge openair museum. It will satisfy all those who want to know its history, and beautifully renovated monuments and theirs interiors. Visiting Uphagen House and the Main Town Hall, next Long Market and Artus Court. On the waterfront you will find the wooden construction of Zuraw, a 15-th century crane. Visiting the most picturesque street in the Main City, Mariacka St. where you will find many souvenir shops, and amber gallery, cafe.

Panoramic Tour of Gdańsk

Drive from Oliva to the Old Town. Walk from the Golden Gate, which enter the Royal Route and where you can admire skillfully decorated facades. Visiting Uphagen House and Artus Court. A short stroll through Mariacka St., where you will find many souvenir shops, and amber gallery. Visiting St. Mary's Church, the biggest brick church in the world. Short walk and visit to St. Brigit Church, which is very connected with newest history of Poland - the official church of the Trade Union "Solidarity". In beautiful interiors of the church you may also admire a unique amber monstration, which soon be a part of the Main Amber Altar. From St. Brigit Church, drive to the "Solidarity" Square - visiting the Monuments to Victims of December '70, and exhibition "Roads to Freedom". Next we drive to Oliva where you will see the Oliva Cathedral, the pearl of Gdansk's architecture. Return to Congress Venue over Polanki Street, passing by Lech Walesa residence.

The Malbork Castle and Żuławy Area

The Malbork Castle is the largest brick fortress world wide and one of the most magnificent examples of original gothic architecture. Today it ranks among the top tourist attractions in Poland. Drive along Lower Powisle to Malbork. Visit the Malbork Castle and the biggest polish amber collection. Lunch, at "Zamkowa" restaurant. Return through Żuławy Land, located in the delta of Vistula river. On Żuławy you will see the famous arcaded houses that give a specific atmosphere to the region. Dutch Mennonites culture characterized with very strict morals and rules created the cultural landscape of the Żuławy.

Tracing Nicolas Copernicus

Poles are said to be very romantic, and romantic people like to look up the skies. Maybe that's why Poland has so many excellent astronomers. Nicolas Copernicus, who "stopped the Sun and moved the Earth", create a heliocentric model of our planetary system. More about this great Pole, you will learn on a tour to Frombork, town on the Vistula Sand-bar. Frombork cathedral from 14-th c. with surrounding medieval walls and bastion belong to the most precious remnants of Gothic architecture at the Polish coast. Lunch in on the way.

Knight's Feast in Gniew Castle

Kashubian Folklore

A meal peasant style in a regional inn, performance of a folk ensemble, including participation in the dances and games, let you meet the Kashubian folklore. Kashubians, who were one of the ethnic groups of the Pomeranian Region, speak their own language, have their own culture and customs up till now. The main occupation of the Kashubians has been fishing, agriculture, raising animals and forestry. Besides the Kashubian are famous for their pottery and embroidery.

Post Congress Tours

Motorcoach tour Warsaw - Cracow
June 8-12, 2002

Departure from Gdańsk to Warsaw in the early afternoon. Arriving to Warsaw, dinner at the hotel and short stroll through the Old Town. Overnight in Warsaw. City sightseeing and visit to the Royal Castle. Lunch. In the evening we invite you to Place on the Water, situated in one of the most beautiful parks in Europe, Royal Łazienki, for the piano concert of Chopin music. Glass of champagne in the pause. Elegant supper in the Old Town. Overnight in Warsaw. Departure to Krakow, drive though the beautiful land of heart Poland. Enjoy lunch in the 16-th century castle in Baranów, the most valuable elegant example of the Polish Renaissance. Dinner and overnight in Krakow. City sightseeing of Krakow, visit to the Royal Castle on Wawel Hill. Lunch. Two trips will be organizes for you to choose after lunch. One to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum - former concentration camp in Oswięcim. Second to the seven hundred years old Salt Mine in Wieliczka, registered by UNESCO on the first List of World Cultural and Natural Heritage in 1978. In the evening Polish feast supper in the open air, roast pig and meal peasant style. Overnight in Krakow. End of a tour with far a way drink after breakfast.
